Brunton Raptor Stove
Brunton Raptor Stove
This was a great little unit to have. One of my favorite pieces to take with me in the bush. I loved the way the tough little stove folded up. The Brunton Raptor provided a lot of needed warm meals in the alpine over the years.
What I liked about the Brunton Raptor back pack stove:
-Affordable.
-Incredibly small and compact.
-Works great.
-Light weight.
-Tough.
The only problem I had is when the striker broke off after years of use. Luckily I had matches in my survival kit, as I was way up in the backcountry and needed to eat my MRE’s. I used Isobutene when cooking. It light most of the time but I had a bit of trouble when it was really cold. The temperature could have affected the fuel as it does with propane. I emailed the company and they were kind enough to send me a new backpack stove, made by Primus which is owned by Brunton.
