Major comfort, waterproof, and tough as nails comes to mind when I think of my Danner Frontiers that have lasted a lot of miles in the last 4 years, and still hold up as I navigate shale slides and moose swamps.

           Bang for your buck Danner are one of the best hunting boots around. For $200-$300+ you can expect a fine hunting boot that will keep you warm, dry, and comfortable in all conditions. Just make sure you get the high value insulated boots if hunting in cold weather.

I take my Danners on each hunting trip,  I go from hunting in the alpine for mulies all the way down to moose hunting lowland swampy areas. With a good pair of smart wool socks you will enjoy a comfortable blister free trip. Just a couple weeks ago I was hiking in the alpine walking across steep side hills and peaks. If I did not have a strong comfortable boot that fit perfect, I would have been full of blisters. I cannot stress enough how important footwear is out in the wilderness. If your feet blister or get cold and wet, it can just about if not completely ruin your hunt. My Danner boots are almost 10 years old now and the leather is showing signs of deterioration. 

One thing that I like about the Danner sole is that it is soft and flexible making it possible to feel the ground as you stalk an animal. I notice I can avoid braking twigs on the forest floor by having a better feel. You also can grip better than if you are using a hard soled hunting boot such as the Kenetrek Hardscrabble Hiker. I know that some mountain hunters complain about Danner soles being too soft but there are pros, and cons to every situation. I did hurt my ankly wearing these boots while hiking along a side hill for 3 hours. It is hard to say if a stiffer boot would have saved my anlke or not. If you are looking for an economical top performing boot in the $200-$300 price range the Danner brand will not disappoint you.
